Our vision at Alverton Primary School is to ensure all children enjoy Physical Education and Sport. Through Physical Education and Sport we aim to improve health and well-being, to promote active participation and lifelong learning and for each child to fulfil their potential.
At Alverton, we are determined that our pupils understand the importance of leading a healthy, active lifestyle and that physical activity is crucial to this. To develop this love of activity, we offer a wide variety of sports both during P.E. lessons and through our after-school clubs, endeavouring to ensure that ALL pupils have a club that they can access and will enjoy and our wide variety of clubs are extremely well attended. We aim to offer every pupil active time during the school day, harnessing this increased self-esteem and confidence within other lessons.
We are committed to using the PE and Sport Premium to develop high-quality PE lessons, alongside greater opportunities for all our young people.
